05.04.2025 – In the school year that sees the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Scientific High School, the IIS Primo Levi of Montebelluna achieves yet another significant achievement training project in the spirit of interculturality and cooperation between schools from different countries. From the 7 9 April the first phase of will take place soon Cultural Exchange with the SMSI Leonardo Da Vinci from Buje, one of the four Italian-language secondary schools in Croatia.
The exchange sees the participation of 23 Italian students from first to fourth grade, accompanied by the teachers Prof. Rossella Zanni and Sabrina Cappellotto and by the Headmaster Eng. Ezio Toffano. The students will be guests of the families of the Istrian partners, they will have the opportunity to visit the towns of Buje, Grožnjan, Momjan and Sanvincenti, as well as the regional capital On with its splendid arena. They will also participate in educational and laboratory activities to be able to get to know the different school reality. The exchange is made possible thanks to the commitment and active cooperation of professors Tamara Tomasich, Arianna Brajko Gall and Samanta Jugovac, teachers of the Istrian school, as well as the Principal Franko Gergorić.
There will be numerous opportunities to meet with the city authorities and with the various community of Italians; a visit is also planned during the return journey to the Foiba of Basovizza. The cultural exchange with the Istrian school, after the participation in training activities and regional competitions, in the realization of shows and events on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance, represents a further response of the IIS “Primo Levi” to the desire and need to recover and strengthen historical and cultural affinities with a territory close to us, to keep a common identity alive. The hospitality will be reciprocated from May 12th to 14th, when Leonardo Da Vinci students will visit Montebelluna and the Veneto region.
